Since the area is classified as one of the few micro-climate areas, it is also a very healthy environment for anyone with muscle, joint or skin problems.
The Mazarrón area, with just over 30 beaches and 35 km of coastline, has until now been a relatively unknown area for northern Europeans. But that is changing.
Major efforts are made here to meet the needs and requests:
A new international airport opened in January 2019 and is about 30 kilometers away, a new shopping center opened in November 2018, an extended promenade along Alamillo beach will be done in 2020 – this is just some examples of what is happening in the area right now.

DISTANCE
From Mazarrón it is not far from anything: Alicante about 14 km, Torrevieja about 8 km, Mar Menor and La Manga about 5 km and Cartagena about 3 km.
Airports are only about 35 minutes (Murcia International) or 80 minutes (Alicante) away.
Sierra Nevada, and down hill skiing, is only 3 hours away.
